Real-world answers to everyday pediatric dentistry questions
2018I launched my educational outreach on social media.A year later, I was invited to join Dental Fantasy, where I actively contributed to projects aimed at improving the quality of dental treatment across the group’s clinics.
During the COVID-19 pandemicI started hosting free Instagram Live sessions focused on the practical realities of everyday pediatric dentistry: everything from effective isolation with a rubber dam to analyzing intraoral X-rays, restoring primary teeth with crowns, and other practical aspects of daily clinical work.
2021I introduced a new Instagram series titled 'Kiselev, Have Mercy'—a free breakdown of real clinical cases featuring objective critiques and actionable advice to help clinicians identify weaknesses in their clinical decision-making and improve everyday practice.Over time, similar case-review formats became increasingly common within dental educational content. The original series remains fully accessible in my Instagram highlights.
Soon I became a regular guest speaker at offline events, began hosting hands-on courses, and developed webinars for those unable to attend in person.
2022I began working on an extensive article about treating children under general anesthesia. It started as an attempt to streamline modern scientific data and debunk common myths surrounding sedation in pediatric dentistry. This very project later became the foundation for EBPD (Evidence-Based Pediatric Dentistry).
2022-2024Alongside the general anesthesia paper, I kept publishing free materials and busting popular myths on Instagram.Blending modern literature with feedback from practicing dentists, I wrote new articles on pediatric dental prophylaxis, the toxicity of composite materials, fissure sealants, indirect restorations for permanent teeth, the nuances of local anesthesia, and other key topics in modern pediatric dentistry.
TodayEBPD contains more than 250 pages of educational material, with ongoing work focused on translating all articles into English and developing new publications dedicated to preventive dentistry, early orthodontic treatment, and dental care for children with ASD.
My goal remains the same:to turn modern scientific evidence into practical clinical protocolsthat genuinely improve everyday pediatric dental care.
